But for workloads where any swap I/O is undesirable, the kernel now supports a per-cgroup writeback disabled mode (kernel 6.8+). When disabled for a cgroup, any page rejected by zswap – whether for incompressibility, pool limits, or any other reason – cycles back to the active list rather than going to disk.
